Thinking About It
If you are interested in having an artistic portrait taken, you can call or e-mail to set up a meeting in person to see my portfolio, or we can simply set up a phone meeting.
If you decide to book a photo shoot, it is helpful to think about the following questions:
• What kind of photos you are looking for (e.g. B&W or colour, headshots or full body)?
• What location(s) would you prefer for the portraits (e.g. your own living room, your workplace, a park, a café, or with a studio backdrop)?
• What kind of poses and facial expressions would you like to get across in the photos?
Photo Shoot
On the day of the photo shoot, we will meet on location usually half an hour to an hour beforehand (depending on the length of the shoot). This gives us time to talk and get to know each other before we take the photos.
The shoot itself will vary in time depending on the location and the number of people involved. Assistants will sometimes be there to help out with setting up equipment.
Client Agreement
I have a client agreement that I like to go over before the photo shoot to give time to answer any questions you may have. It can be negotiated that the portraits will be exclusively for your own use.
Picking up the proofs
After the photo shoot, we will book a time to meet. This is usually about a week later when I can give you the photos either as prints or on CD. A specific number of photos or proofs are included in each package, but many clients like to order enlargements or additional photos at this time.
